SomaYoga Therapy

SomaYoga Therapy uses the 8 limbs of Yoga, which includes: skillful living with self and others, asanas, breath awareness, mind & yogic maps, harnessing of the mind and sense cognitions, inner awareness, concentration, focus, and enlightened living to guide you out of suffering including acute or chronic pain into being seated in your essential nature.

Soma is the Greek word for body, mind and spirit. The Greeks believed that by separating these parts of ourselves into different words, we created a separation among them. SomaYoga intends to unify these parts of our beings, so we can realize and live out our full potential.

SomaYoga Therapy brings the 8 limbs of Yoga (Self-Realization) forward along with its blend of somatic movement, therapeutic yoga, and classic Yoga. It awakens an individuals brain-body connection using neuromuscular re-eductaion between the frontal cortex and the nervous system and the muscles to gain greater mobility and function of the body. This new range of motion and function is then stablizied and strengthened inviting consciousness to rest with more ease throughout the Soma. By lifting veils, afflictions, and thought patterns that limit a Soma, and learning ways to nourish, simulate, or soothe the cognitive and action senses of a Soma, life becomes more balanced and harmonized from the inside out, and ease returns.

This practice invites you to become conscious, curious, and to slow down. Counter-culturally, by doing less, you will gain more spaciousness in your soma and bring greater awareness to your daily living and habits that lead you toward full potential and optimal health. Because movements are small and guided from within, SomaYoga Therapy is accessible to everybody at every age.

SomaYoga Therapy has helped people move out of chronic pain and tension by discovering what it feels like to move from within, stay in a healthy range of motion, and strengthen rather than force the body past its limits. Whether you are a high-performance athlete, recovering from injuring, hoping to prevent injury, or interested in awakening the relationship between your mind, body, and spirit, SomaYoga can support you.
